SPPCP Foundation Annual Video Competition

  Open to:

• Pharmacy students, residents, fellows, pharmacists, and anyone else who is a big fan of pharmacists  (SPPCP members and non-members)
• Submissions can be individual or team-based (up to three participants)
  • Each team member must post and tag their submission
  • Team collaboration is encouraged!
• Videos must be internally reviewed by faculty or the residency/fellowship program director at the participant's institution
  • The review does not require an advisor in the fields of pain, palliative care, or hospice

• Highlight a pharmacist’s positive impact, including but not limited to:
  • Pain management, palliative care, or hospice services
• Content must be:
  • Original, creative, and educational
  • Aimed at raising awareness of the pharmacist’s impact and role in patient care.
• Respect patient confidentiality:
  • Do not depict real patients without explicit consent
• Recommended duration of 15-30 seconds

• Captions must be included for accessibility
• Cite all sources of information, music, and images
  • Do not use copyrighted material unless permission is obtained
  • Videos violating copyright policies may be removed by individual social media platforms

Videos can be posted as early as April 11, 2025, at 5 PM EST.

Social media analytics are due by May 12th, at 5 PM EST.

1. Follow SPPCP (Instagram: @sppcp_official; LinkedIn: @Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacists (SPPCP)
2. Post on personal Instagram and LinkedIn accounts beginning April 11, 2025
3. Tag SPPCP
4. Include on other social media accounts
5. Include the following call-to-action in the comment section: "If you or your loved ones have received excellent care from a pharmacist, insert a thumbs-up emoji in the comments section and repost"
6. Engage with commenters by sending direct messages to encourage them to follow and support SPPCP and the SPPCP Foundation
7. Send a snapshot of analytics from LinkedIn or likes / comments from Instagram and other social media accounts by May 12, 2025 5:00pm EST. Please message us directly via our social media accounts

Videos may be disqualified if they contain inappropriate content or fail to meet technical / content requirements

Viewers’ Choice Award 

Winner will receive:

• $500
• Recognition on SPPCP social media accounts and website

Winners will be announced:

• At the SPPCP virtual conference on May 20th. For more information please visit SPPCP 
• Via email and social media messaging to participants

SPPCP Video Competition Recognition 

• Up to 15 Runner-up awards will be provided to students and residents based on social media engagement via the submitted snapshot analytics
• Runners-up will receive the following SPPCP membership benefits for the following year:
• Free membership for students
• 25% of membership for residents
